Born in Diyarbakır in 1985, Güloğlu completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Turkish and Social Sciences Education from Çukurova University in 2006. In 2010, he completed his master’s degree in Philosophy Group Education at the Institute of Social Sciences of the same university, and in 2017, he received his PhD in Sociology from Istanbul University. He is currently continuing his academic career as an Associate Professor at Kilis 7 Aralık University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
