Adıgüzel was born in 1973 in Kozan, Adana. He began his undergraduate studies at Anadolu University, Faculty of Communication Sciences, and graduated from the Department of Printing and Publishing in 1995. Continuing his academic career, he completed his master’s degree in 1998 and his doctorate in 2004 in the Department of Sociology at the Institute of Social Sciences, Sakarya University. Marking a significant step in his field of expertise, Adıgüzel was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Social Sciences and Humanities in 2012 and was promoted to Professor in 2018. Between 2012 and 2020, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Sociology at Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Sakarya University, where he also continues his academic work as a Professor in the Department of Journalism.
