Selin Bahçalı was born in Bursa and completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in the Department of Geography at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. She earned her master’s degree in 2015 and her doctorate in 2023 with a dissertation on the impact of internal migration in Bursa on general elections. Between 2012 and 2023, she took part in various research projects on internal migration, irregular migration, migration policies, electoral geography, and data analysis. She is currently serving as the Executive Coordinator of the International Association for Migration Research and Applications (EpicMigrations).
