What Does UGAD Do?

UGAD raises public awareness on migration and refugee issues, promotes integration, and carries out various activities aimed at improving the quality of life of refugees. Below are some of our core initiatives.

EpicMigrations Publications: Through epicmigrations.com, we provide comprehensive publications on migration in both English and Turkish. These publications bring to wider audiences the stories of migrants and refugees, the challenges they face, and the successes they achieve along their journeys.

Projects: Based on needs identified directly from real-life experiences, we develop integration-oriented projects with a focus on social benefit. These projects are designed to bring migrants and local communities together, helping them better understand one another and build shared living spaces.

Social Media Activities: We actively produce and share content on social media platforms that supports integration and raises awareness of migration and refugee issues. These materials contribute to improving society’s knowledge and sensitivity on the subject.

From Life (Hayatın İçinden): Guided by our motto “Refugees Are More Than Numbers,” we share the real-life stories of refugees, highlighting the struggles they face and the resilience they show. This section seeks to reveal the human side of refugees and strengthen their place within society.

Research and Reporting: Our expert scholars and their teams conduct in-depth research and produce reports on migration and refugee issues. These works are published in both print and digital formats, reaching a wide audience. By sharing scientific and practical insights, our aim is to enhance understanding of migration among policymakers, academics, and the general public.
